Mark Twain begins here
Where to begin. I'm researching a documentary about the last 22 months of Mark Twain's life. Twain died in Redding, Connecticut in April 1910, four months after the death of his daughter Jean on December 24th. Twain moved to Redding in June 1908. Construction began in 1907, but he didn't want to see his new home until the cat was purring beside the hearth. "I only came to spend the summer," he wrote in his guest book, "but I shan't go away anymore".
